SSC CGL 2020 official notification will be released soon on the official website. The SSC CGL conducts annually to select candidates for various Group B and Group C posts by the Staff Selection Commission. Recruitment is done in various departments / ministries / organizations of the Central Government.
The exam is conducted in four levels or stages, such as Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4. As per the eligibility standards, the applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in any stream
The application fee for general category candidates is INR 100 while the reserved category and female candidates are exempted from any fee.

SSC CGL 2020 Registration: Application Form
The SSC CGL 2020 application form will be made available in March 2020 and will continue till April 2020. Candidates can fill the form in online mode only by visiting the official portal of SSC.
- Candidates have to register by entering their email ID, phone number and password.
- A registration number will be issued.
- Use this registration number and password to login.
- Fill the detailed application form and upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the dimensions mentioned in JPEG format.
- After successfully filling and uploading, you will have to pay the application fee.
- SSC CGL application fee 2020 for unreserved male candidates is INR 100 while female and reserved category candidates are exempted from any fee.

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute
Desirable Qualification: Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Masters in Commerce or Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
B) Junior Statistics Officer
Bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 60% marks in 12th standard mathematics

How to fill SSC CGL Application Form 2020? (How to Apply)
Following steps are required to fill the SSC CGL 2020 application form.
Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC ie ssc.nic.in
Step 2: Login using your credentials like email id, mobile number and password.
Step 3: Fill your personal and educational details in SSC CGL application form.
Step 4: Preview the form to cross-check the information. (No modification post final submission can be made in the form.)
Step 5: After filling the application form, pay the application fee using net banking, debit card or e-challan of SBI Bank.
A successful submission of the application message will be generated. Save the same for future correspondence.

SSC CGL 2020 Admit Card Details
Admission ticket or hall ticket will be available for the concerned candidate one week before the scheduled date of examination. Visit the official website to download the document. No physical copy of the admit card will be sent through post. While logging in, the candidate will need registration number / roll number and password / DOB.
1. The SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 Exam Admit Card will be released in the first week of July 2020.
2. Candidates will only be able to download the admit card from the official website of SSC.
3. SSC will issue SSC CGL Admit Card separately for different levels of examination,
That is, the Tier-I admit card will be issued first, followed by the Tier-II admit card. The admit card for Tier-II will be issued to the candidates who have passed the Tier-I examination. Similarly, the admit card for Tier-III will be issued to those candidates who have passed Tier-II examination and so on.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2020
SSC has released exam dates for all ssc exams to be held in 2020-20. SSC CGL 2020-2021 Preliminary Examination is scheduled from 04 June to 19 June 2020. SSC CGL Syllabus 2020 Tier-III Syllabus
Tier-III of SSC CGL 2020 exam is a descriptive test to test the written skills of the candidates in English / Hindi. The method of examination is offline and students are required to write essays, précis, applications, letters etc. in this examination.
The exam has 100 marks and the time allotted for the same is 60 minutes. The time allotted for the candidates belonging to PWD category has been increased to 80 minutes. Tier-III paper is given by specific candidates who are interested only for the post of “Statistical Investigator Grade II” and “Compiler”.
SSC CGL 2020 Tier-IV Syllabus
The Tier-IV exam includes pairs of skill sets required for certain government positions across the country.
DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax), the exam is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidate through SSC CGL 2020-2021 exam. The candidates are given an article in English, which they have to write on the computer. A candidate is required to write 2000 words in 15 minutes.
CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of Slides are the three modules that are important for this exam and the Commission demands a candidate to be proficient in it for the post of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise). Is, Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner).
Tier-I and Tier-II examination is compulsory for all the posts mentioned in SSC CGL 2020-2021, while Tier-III is specially for the candidates applying for the post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II and Compiler. Similarly, Tier-IV exam is taken by candidates applying specifically for TA, CSS, MEA and Inspector.
Penalty for wrong answer
Incorrect answer to a question will lead to a reduction of 0.5 marks in Tier-I, III and IV, while Tier-II will carry 0.25 marks.
SSC CGL 2020 Exam Pattern
The candidates will be selected through the 4-tier selection process of SSC in which the fourth tier will be of only qualifying nature. Tier 1 consists of 100 MCQs based on general qualifications to be performed within an hour.
Tier-2 is a descriptive test consisting of two papers of Mathematics and English with 200 marks and duration of 2 hours each.
Tier 3 will be a subjective examination of 1 hour duration. Tier four will be a typing test / computer proficiency test.

Maximum marks 200 in Tier 1, 400 in Tier 2, 100 in Tier 3
Duration 1 hour (Tier 1), 2 hours (Tier 2), 1 hour (Tier 3)
Section 4 (Tier 1)
Tier 1 and Tier 2 will include only objective type questions.
Tier 3 paper will be subjective in nature.
Tier 4 will be a qualifying nature skill test.
Marking Scheme for SSC CGL 2020
- MCQs scoring equal marks in Tier I and Tier 2 exams are included.
- Two marks will be awarded for each correct answer in Tier 1 and Tier 2 (except Tier 2 English paper where there is one mark for each question).
- 25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
- The maximum marks in Tier 3 exam is 100.
No maximum marks have been allotted for Tier 4 / Skill test.
SSC CGL 2020 Result
The result of SSC CGL 2020 will be announced on the official website in May-June 2020. The candidates have to enter the online portal to check their results.
The results will be compiled with the candidates in a post-wise and issue-wise manner, with the highest overall score being credited to the All India Rank (AIR).

SSC CGL Selection Process
The SSC CGL exam is divided into 4 stages i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and finally Tier 4.
Candidates who qualify in Tier 1 will be eligible to appear in Tier 2.
Candidates who qualify in Tier 2 will be eligible to appear in both Tier 3 and Tier 4.
The final merit of SSC CGL will be based on cumulative marks of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
Tier 4 is of qualifying nature and is mandatory for CSS / MEA / Tax Assistant posts.
SSC CGL 2020 cut off
Successful candidates will be placed in various central government ministries, departments and offices across the country based on their performance in the examination and the preference filled by them while applying for the examination.
Admit cards will be issued within one or two months of the entire process of examination including the document verification phase. Candidates will be informed regarding the issuance of the letter joining in advance.
