Colleges often require 75% attendance to sit an exam. Enter your classes attended and held, and this says where you stand — and either how many you must attend to reach the requirement or how many you can afford to miss.
How to use this calculator
- Enter the classes you have attended and the classes held so far.

- Enter the classes still to be held this term, to see how many of them you must attend and how many you can miss.

How it is calculated
Attendance is classes attended divided by classes held, times 100.
Every class you attend raises both figures, so reaching the requirement takes fewer classes than the raw shortfall suggests.
If you are above the requirement, the same arithmetic gives the number of classes you can miss and still stay at or above it.
Attendance is checked at the end of term, so with the classes left known, the fewest you must attend is the requirement of all the classes the term will have held, less what you have attended already. The rest you can miss.
Worked example
With 68 of 100 classes attended, 40 still to come and 75% required: you are at 68%, must attend the next 28 in a row to reach 75%, and by the end of term need 37 of the 40 — so you can miss 3.
